# Move funds between exchanges

There are two methods to move funds between exchanges, based on whether the funds are delegated to the exchange.

### Moving ClearLoop Delegated Funds

If your funds are delegated, you first need to undelegate them before transferring to another exchange. Follow the [undelegate funds guide](/guides/clearloop/undelegate-funds) to do this.

### Moving Non-Delegated Funds

If your funds are not delegated, you can transfer them directly by making a withdrawal. Specify the destination using
`toPortfolioId` of the portfolio you wish to send the funds to. For detailed steps, see the [move funds guide](/guides/funds-transfers/move-funds-between-portfolios).
