Authentication
Multi-factor authentication
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security enhancement that requires users to present two or more verification methods to gain access to an account. The Copper Platform supports several MFA options to ensure your account’s security.
MFA is enabled by default for all users and cannot be disabled.
MFA Methods
One-Time Password (OTP) | Use an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) to generate a temporary code required for login. |
Yubico OTP | Utilize a YubiKey to provide an additional layer of physical security. YubiKeys are hardware tokens that generate a secure one-time password with the push of a button. |
Passkey | Passkeys are a more advanced form of MFA that use cryptographic data unique to your device, eliminating the need for passwords. They leverage biometric authentication (like fingerprints or facial recognition) or device PINs to grant access. |
Recommended MFA Method
While all supported MFA methods enhance account security, we recommend using Passkey as your second authorization factor.
