To perform any actions on the Copper Platform, such as creating withdrawals from an account or updating an organisation’s vault settings, a team member must have sufficient access to the relevant organisation and its accounts. This access is managed through permissions.

Permissions can be granted universally across all accounts in an organisation or specified for individual accounts. Team members can be assigned roles within permission groups such as Approver, Trader, and others.

Available Permission Groups

The Platform offers a variety of permission groups that can be assigned to team members. A complete list of available permission groups for your organisation can be found in the Team Members section on the Platform, along with detailed descriptions of the actions each group can perform.

All Accounts Access

You can assign permissions to a team member for all accounts within an organisation by selecting specific permission groups or granting access to all groups.

Different Access for Different Accounts

In the example below, the team member has multiple permissions for different accounts. As a result, they have the Trader permission group for the Vault Account and the Approver group for the Trading Account.

Access with Exceptions

If a team member has permissions across all accounts, any additional permissions assigned to specific accounts will override the general permissions. In the example below, the team member has been assigned the Withdrawal Operator, Approver, and Trader permission groups for all accounts within the organisation, except for the Trading Vault and Default Trading accounts, where they only have viewing access.
